Understanding The Photographic Landscape

Description:

In this course students will learn how to compose and photograph the land.  Students will visit the Marin headlands and Sutro baths and create their own cohesive series of photographs.  In addition to learning the technical aspects of landscape photography, a large portion of class time will be spent on constructive criticism as well as discussion of successful contemporary and historical landscape photography. 

Prerequisites & Materials: DSLRs in Manual mode, a firm grasp of the basic concepts of photography, Digital SLR Camera, lenses charged batteries, camera manual, memory cards, tripod, cable release or remote. Also bring snacks and beverage to drink.

Students will be emailed instructions and directions for this workshop.
