Environmental Portraits

What makes a portrait compelling? Above all, it’s about developing your own unique way of seeing. This two-day on location (TBA) course will give you the opportunity of working in different surroundings and situations. Students will work with each other as models to explore the many levels of portraiture in black and white and in color. We will observe the essence of environment and subject through composition, metaphor and relationships using natural light and flash as fill in light. Our final class will meet at the photo center to look at and critique work. All photographs must be printed out and ready for presentation.
