Model Photography on Location

Description:

Students will collaborate with a professional model at an outdoor location. Day 1- we will meet at the location and conduct a photo shoot with the model. During the session, students will learn to communicate with their subject, work with the light, and use the model & location to create dramatic, narrative moments,yielding strong photos. This shooting session will take up 1st class, & instruction/ feedback will be given. Class 2:Students will reconvene at the HMPC for a critique session & potluck. Images will be reviewed, and the groups interpretations. The goal of the critique is to highlight the successful concepts & work out any improvements. Students can expect to come away with strong photographs & confidence to be able to collaborate with people as subjects.

*Prerequisite: Students need intermediate-level command of their cameras/exposure controls.This workshop is centered around conceptual development. Minimal technical instruction will be given.
